GENERAL RENTAL INFORMATION:
Fall Rental rates are as follows:
The chalet is available for checking in on
Friday, Saturday or Sunday during fall. The rate is $700.00 /week plus
7% maine tax plus a clenaing fee of $125.00 !!! Just call or email to
make sure we aren't double booked. A security deposit of $500.00 is held
and returned within 5 days of checking out. This is a great rate for a
fall house rental for hiking or leaf peeping !!! The chalet sleeps 14
people in beds and pull out sofas and is situated on Barker Mountain.
Unlimited activities to keep you busy or just kick back and enjoy the
fresh air and beautiful scenery Maine offers.
Winter rental information and rates are as follows:
- Weekly Rentals are Friday -
Friday unless we agree on a different time.
- heck-in at 4:00pm.
Checkout at 10:00am.
- The non vacation / holiday regular weekly rental rate is @$2400/week.
Holiday and vacation
weeks are $4000/week (Christmas and February School Vacation).
The nightly regular rental rate
for non vacation / holiday nights is
$400/night. The per-night rental rate for holiday and vacation
weeks is $600/night. There is a minimum of 3 nights stay unless
otherwise agreed upon.
- Additionally, there is a 7 % tax
in Maine for renting. This is 7 % of your total rental rate. You
can include this in the same check as we file quarterly. This is
7 % of your rental rate.

There is a cleaning fee of $125.00. We provide all sheets,
blankets, and towels.
- A security deposit of $500 is also
collected, but returned by mail after you check out.
- Required at time of
reservation: 50% of the total rental
amount. Exception: if rental date is less than 30 days in advance.
(arrival date < 30 days from booking date), total
rental amount is required. Note: We will hold your slot for 5 days. If
payment has not been received after 5 days, we will cancel your
reservation.
- Required 30 days prior to
the arrival date are: 1) The balance of the total rental amount; 2) a non-refundable cleaning fee of
$125.00; 3) a
refundable security deposit of $500.00 which will be refunded no
later than 5 days after checkout unless our rental agreement is
not followed as stated below.
- Our rental agreement:
the cost to repair
any damages, replace missing items, towels, etc. or the cost of
excessive cleaning fees will be deducted from the security deposit. Smoking
in the house will forfeit the deposit in its entirety.
- Reservations canceled 30
days prior to arrival date will receive a refund less $100.
Reservations canceled less than 30 days from expected arrival
date will forfeit 50% of the rental amount unless the house is
rented during the week in question and for the same rental fee.
- All utilities are paid for
by the owners. The telephone is local access only.
We provide all sheets,
blankets, and towels. The chalet has a full kitchen with all
pots and pans, plates, glasses and utensils.
